Thank you for partnering with the Canopy Housing Foundation as we continue to strive to achieve our vision of a community where all housing needs are met. Our mission of Realtors® creating housing opportunities through advocacy, education, funding and leadership is achieved by promoting affordable home-ownership, providing funding to create housing opportunities, and positioning and educating Realtors® as volunteer leaders in support of philanthropic activities.

Realtors® Care Day, Mecklenburg, Iredell, & Haywood counties
April 19, 2024
Realtors® Care Day is a community-wide home repair project that assists homeowners annually with exterior home repairs and provides adaptive and safety modifications for those in need. 315 families and nonprofit organizations have received assistance with exterior home repair projects with a total economic impact of more than $1.2 million since its inception in 2009.

Strides for Shelter 5K Run/Walk, McAlpine Park
Oct. 2024
Strides for Shelter is one of the only races in the community dedicated to funding Charlotte housing needs. The beneficiary agency for the 2023 race was Charlotte Family Housing, which received $42,000 to redesign, refurbish, restructure, and restock their MAP (Motivated Achievement Points) Store.
Strides for Shelter is one of the only races in the Charlotte area funding homelessness and unmet housing needs. Over the seven-year history of the race, Strides for Shelter has given over $170,000 to seven beneficiary organizations. A new beneficiary is selected each year.
Virtual Holiday Silent Auction
Nov. 24 – Dec. 9, 2023 (tentative)
This event funds critical housing needs in Mecklenburg, Iredell, and Haywood counties, with a fundraising goal of $30,000. This event is open to the public in addition to our 20,000+ members. Auction item donations and sponsorships ranging from $500 – $5,000 are available.
