Innovation Award Mentor - Miles O. Vaughn

A New York City native, Miles O. Vaughn has over 19 years of experience in real estate and economic development. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1979 and his Master’s Degree with a focus on urban planning from Pennsylvania State University in 1980. Mr. Vaughn graduated from New York University’s Real Estate Development Institute in 1990 and has several real estate development/finance related postgraduate certifications.

He joined the Bank of America Community Development Corporation in 1999 as a Real Estate Development Officer and was involved in all aspects of affordable and market rate housing development projects including the negotiation of partnership agreements, land acquisition, structuring of financing packages, and coordination of project development teams. In addition, Mr. Vaughn has served as a Senior Business Manager with Fannie Mae. Currently, Ms. Vaughn serves as Strategic Partnerships Manager in the Housing & Neighborhood Services Department with the City of Charlotte.
