Canopy Housing Foundation
Canopy Housing Foundation has established the Cristina Grossu Biffle Memorial Award to honor her life of service to her community. The award will recognize a nonprofit actively engaged in addressing housing and children’s needs—issues that she deeply cared about.
In 2024, Cristina received the Humanitarian Award, the highest honor presented by Canopy Housing Foundation, in recognition of the monumental work that she did following the disaster of Hurricane Helene.
The foundation will work in partnership with the Grossu and Biffle families to identify the recipient. The first annual recipient will receive the award in December at the Association’s holiday luncheon.

Canopy Realtor® Association Gives $25,000 to Local Food Banks
Canopy Realtor® Association has donated $25,000 to five food-assistance organizations serving Mecklenburg, Iredell, and Haywood Counties. Each organization received $5,000 to bolster daily operations, replenish pantry inventory, and meet the rapidly increasing number of families seeking help.

COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM
Provides support to area nonprofit organizations that address unmet housing needs in Mecklenburg, Iredell and Haywood counties.
HABITAT SUPPORT PROGRAM
Provides monetary support to area Habitat for Humanity organizations.
Awards
Humanitarian Award
Individuals, groups or projects are awarded annually for outstanding contributions in the community. Award recipients designate a nonprofit organization to receive up to $5,000 from the Foundation.
